¡@ GARRY FRYKMAN, M.D.- Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist and Hand Surgery

Dr. Frykman received his M.D. degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed a rotating internship and an Orthopaedic Surgery residency at L.A. County USC Medical Center. He then went on to complete a Hand Surgery Fellowship with Harold E. Kleinert, M.D. at the University of Louisville, KY and a Micro Vascular Surgery Fellowship at St. Vincent¡¦s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. For the past 31 years Dr. Frykman has practiced the specialty of Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery in the Inland Empire.

He was formerly with Inland Hand Medical Center which was acquired by Arrowhead Orthopaedics. He states ¡§I am extremely proud to be a part of the outstanding and exciting Arrowhead Orthopaedic Group.¡¨ His specialty areas include traumatic injuries, cumulative trauma disorders, arthritis, joint replacement, microsurgery, peripheral nerve injuries and other congenital and acquired disorders. He is also a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Loma Linda University where he enjoys teaching medical students and residents. Dr. Frykman frequently contributes to improvement in orthopaedic care overseas by volunteering his time and expertise in neediest places in the world such as Pakistan, Bhutan and Vietnam.

Dr. Frykman has extensive experience in Orthopaedic hand and upper extremity surgery. He is very active professionally with membership in over twelve national and regional medical and surgical organizations. Moreover, Dr. Frykman has been involved in numerous research projects as Principal or Associate Investigator and has authored and coauthored numerous journal articles and conference presentations.

When not involved in caring for his patients, he loves to spend time with his family, including his precious grandchildren. Other areas of interest include; scuba diving, heliskiing, bicycling, flying and traveling. He likes to take part in active adventures, such as snowmobiling through Yellowstone Park, or activities where he achieves new heights, such as climbing to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro (the highest mountain in Africa) with his three sons. Recently he spent his vacation viewing the wonders of the Galapagos Islands, including the sighting of a rare whale shark. These trips keep him fully engaged in this fascinating planet and its myriad of beautiful inhabitants.
