Connor LaRose, M.D.

Sports Medicine

Connor LaRose, M.D. is a fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine. He has expertise in Comprehensive Shoulder Surgery as well as Arthroscopic Surgery of the Shoulder, Knee, and Hip. He also has vast experience in fracture care of pediatric and adult patients. Prior to joining Arrowhead Orthopaedics, Dr. LaRose completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Southern California Orthopaedic Institute (SCOI), where he received specialized training in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, hip, knee and ankle. He also gained experience in complex open shoulder surgical procedures. Prior to his fellowship, Dr. LaRose completed his 5-year orthopaedic residency program at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.

 

While at Duke, he helped provide medical coverage for the Duke University sports teams, including the basketball and football teams.

 

Dr. LaRose’s clinical interests include injuries involving shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is currently a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, the International Cartilage Repair Society, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. LaRose, is an assistant clinical professor associated with Loma Linda University. He is involved in teaching and training LLU orthopaedic residents at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC).

 

Dr. LaRose was born and raised in Claremont, CA. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame, where he played 4 years of soccer. He continued on to obtain his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine before heading to Duke University for his orthopaedic surgery training.

 

Dr. LaRose remains an athletes enthusiast, spending his free time running, golfing and playing in the odd pick-up soccer game. He has returned to Claremont with his wife, Melissa, and their daughter, Marlow.
