Anna Nikachina, MD

Dr. Anna Nikachina is a physician specializing in rehabilitation and pain management. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pain Medicine. She helps patients manage acute and chronic pain associated with musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.

Dr. Nikachina was born and raised in Siberia, Russia, in the large industrial and academic city of Novosibirsk. Following her High School graduation, she enrolled at the State Medical Institute of Novosibirsk State University. She pursued two programs, concurrently graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 1996 and later with a doctorate of medicine (M.D.) in 1997.

Upon completing her residency training in New York, Dr. Nikachina became a Medical Director of Outpatient Rehabilitation Services at The Aroostook Medical Center in Northern Maine. She also became the Director of the Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, which in 2013 was ranked by Uniform Date Systems (UDSMR) in the top 10 percentile of nearly 800 rehabilitation facilities across the United States for Medical Rehabilitation. She has gained a unique experience building up a flourishing practice in a rural community starting from the ground up, being the first and only physician in her specialty in an almost 200-mile radius.
