Paul Burton, DO

Dr. Burton was a Physical Therapist at Mercy Rehabilitation Center in Auburn, N.Y., before attending medical school at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, MO. Dr. Burton completed an internship and Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan, affiliated with Michigan State University. He served as Chief Orthopaedic and Surgical Resident and received the Alvin Yarrows Memorial Award for excellence in scientific research for two consecutive years.

Dr. Burton was a founding member of the Center for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Pennsylvania. He served as an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Duquesne University, Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Chatham College. In addition has served on the Pennsylvania Medical Society board as Treasurer, Vice President, and then President of the Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society. He has served on the California Orthopedic Association board and is currently on the board of the San Bernardino County Medical Society. 

Dr. Burton is an Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Loma Linda University. He has received the Teacher of the Year award from the Orthopaedic Surgery Residents at Loma Linda University in 2007 and 2009.

Dr. Burton's primary interest is in Total Joint Arthroplasty and has performed over 3000 of these procedures. He has had additional training in minimal incisional surgical approaches and hip arthroscopy.
