Sang Le, MD

Dr. Sang Le was born in Vietnam, but together with his parents and siblings, they fled the country in 1979 on a fishing boat, searching for a better life. After several months in a refugee camp in Indonesia, his family was sponsored to come to Southern California.

Dr. Le attended the University of California, Los Angeles, and graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Cybernetics and Molecular Biology. He stayed at UCLA an additional year to pursue a Master’s in Physiological Science. It was then that he decided on a career in medicine. He received his Medical Doctorate in 2006 from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He then returned to Southern California in 2011 and completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency training at Loma Linda University Medical Center.

Dr. Le chose to study medicine because he wanted to help people. Dr. Le explains, “I have always enjoyed working with my hands to fix things, whether it be fixing cars or computers, the challenge of restoring function intrigues me and gives me great satisfaction. To be able to restore function for my patients in the practice of orthopaedics brings me an incomparable level of satisfaction and challenge.”
